Within the Student Activities Department plan for the academic year 2014-15 in Beirut Campus, and according to the training needs in the arts activities (acting, singing, folk dance, modern dance), Claudia Marchalian, the renowned Lebanese script writer, actress, and director of Star Academy in its 9th and 10th seasons, was welcomed to support the drama team on Monday 27/10/2014 in Jamal Abed Al Nasser Hall. For an hour and a half, the drama club students and the new members shared Mrs. Marchalian in a seminar on the role of the theater in culturally guiding young people in addition to her life-learned experiences and lessons. She confirmed that, with the evolution of technology, students have replaced reading with audio-visual texts in plays and films. Also, Marchalian highly insisted that a technical supervisor should accompany new students in their training and that the theater is always ready to support a generation who contributes to the theatrical movement. Students posed various questions, and Ms. Nadine Abla, Director of Student Activities Department, presented Mrs. Marchilian a shield of appreciation for her participation in the presence of the club trainer Hassan Masri and drama supervisor Wissam Sabbagh.
